Cartier service

A Cartier watch is not just an object that tells the time. It is a masterpiece of engineering and design, made with great attention to detail to remain beautiful and accurate. However, its daily use and the wear and tear of time can bring about functional problems that need to be remedied.

Cartier maintenance & repair

The maintenance and repair of a Cartier watch is a process that requires expertise, patience and respect for tradition. Our commitment is to ensure that every Cartie watch that passes through our hands will continue to function accurately and maintain its beauty for generations to come.

The general recommendation is to service your Cartie every 3 to 5 years or when the watch has suffered significant wear and tear, such as a fall or water damage. Over time, the oils and lubricants that keep the various components of your watch running smoothly can dry out or become contaminated. This can lead to problems such as your watch running too fast, too slow, or even stopping altogether. A proper repair ensures that all of these critical components are cleaned, relubricated and adjusted to ensure optimal performance.

The Cartier Service Process

1. Receiving your Cartier: First, the watch is received and checked to determine its condition.
2. Situational Assessment: The process starts with disassembling your watch, we check the movement, bracelet and case for damage and wear.
3. Cleaning: After disassembly, the components are cleaned with special fluids and ultrasonic cleaning, removing lubricants and debris.
4. Replacing Worn Parts: During repair, worn parts are replaced with new genuine Cartier parts.
5. Lubrication: All moving parts are lubricated with special oils to ensure their smooth operation.
6. Case and Bracelet Polishing: Polishing is only done if the owner requests it, since many scratches are part of the history and sentimental value of your watch.
7. Reassembly: The watch is then reassembled and subjected to a chronometry test to ensure accurate time measurement.
8. Waterproofing Test: A positive and negative pressure tightness test is conducted to detect any leaks.
