Omega Service

The OMEGA watches we add to our lives require care and attention and it is important to remember that they are objects for a lifetime. Every OMEGA watch has its own story and proper maintenance is key to preserving its functionality and value.

How often do you need to service your Omega?

Maintaining an Omega is not just a process, but an opportunity to bring life back to a watch that has history and value. It is the moment when we can restore its beauty and functionality, ensuring that it will continue to function for many years to come. This process is much more than a simple repair. It is a celebration of the engineering and craftsmanship behind every Omega watch.

OMEGA recommends servicing your watch every 5-8 years and checking the water resistance annually, but this may vary depending on use and model. However, if you notice any changes in the performance of your watch, such as reduced accuracy or reduced power reserve, it's best to visit a specialist sooner.

The Omega Service process

1. Receipt of your watch: First, your Omega is received and checked to determine its condition.
2. Situational Assessment: We disassemble your watch and inspect the movement, bracelet and case for signs of wear.
3. Cleaning: The movement is disassembled and each component is cleaned according to Omega's specifications to remove old lubricants and dirt.
4. Replacing Worn Parts: Each drive component is thoroughly examined. Worn parts are replaced with original OMEGA parts.
5. Lubrication: All contact points are lubricated with the best lubricants, this guarantees excellent long term performance of the engine.
6. Case and Bracket Polishing: (*only if requested) The case and bracket are skillfully cleaned and restored while maintaining their original shape.
7. Reassembly: Next, your watch is reassembled and timekeeping tested to ensure accuracy.
8. Waterproofing Test: A pressure test is conducted on a proprietary machine to ensure that the watch meets Omega's specifications.
