During this service, performed at The-Watchmaker’s workshop, the movement underwent a complete disassembly, cleaning, lubrication, reassembly, and adjustment process, in accordance with the company’s factory specifications.

As with any proper general service, the engine was completely disassembled, and each component was cleaned separately in special ultrasonic baths to remove old lubricants and microparticles that can affect the mechanism’s operation over time.

The necessary inspection for wear and tolerances was then carried out before the reassembly and lubrication process began.

In a mechanical watch, the correct amount and precise application of lubricant play a crucial role in both the accuracy and long-term reliability of the movement. Even minor deviations can significantly affect the performance of a movement after years of use.

After assembly was completed, the engine was adjusted and tested on a precision timing machine to ensure proper operation in various positions and conditions.

The most unique part of the process, however, is Sinn’s Ar-Dehumidifying Technology.

This technology was developed to significantly reduce humidity inside the case. The presence of humidity is one of the most significant factors that can negatively affect a mechanical watch, both in terms of lubrication and long-term reliability.

For this reason, once the service was completed, the watch was filled with protective gas using the specialized equipment required by Sinn to service these specific models.

This process helps reduce internal humidity and prevents condensation from forming inside the housing, particularly under demanding operating conditions and when there are significant temperature fluctuations.
