Video: A First Look at Circula Facet

Today we received the first watches from Circula's new range, Facet. A chance for a first look!

In developing the Facet, Circula worked with Swiss designer Guy Bove, a designer with extensive experience who previously worked as Design Director for both IWC and TAG Heuer and Breitling.

The case has dimensions of 38 mm, length 44 mm and thickness 10 mm. On the top, it is covered by a sapphire crystal with three layers of anti-reflective coating, similarly the back (lid) of the watch has a sapphire window and is fixed to the case with four screws. It also has 100 metres of water resistance (but no screw-down crown) - which is nice for an everyday sports watch.

The embossed dial consists of a repeating pattern of concentric circles in irregular symmetry and is available in three colours, brown, silver and teal. Underneath the dial is the La Joux-Perret G100 automatic calibre that beats at 28,800vph vibrations per hour at 4Hz and has a power reserve of 68 hours, this movement is a notable point of differentiation compared to many watches at this price level. Functions include central hours, minutes, seconds hacking and date at 6 o'clock. The palladium-plated tungsten rotor has an engraved design that mimics the dial pattern and complements the fine appearance.

There are two strap options, starting with a steel bracelet that continues the versatile case theme with brushed and polished faces, choosing between a butterfly clasp or a single deployment clasp with a micro-adjustment mechanism. Or accompany it with a suede strap that will match the dial in colour.
